Engineering Access Project
Engineering Access, a community research action project funded jointly by Canadian Heritage and Human Resources Skills Development Canada comprised:
- Participatory Research to engage both employers and IEBs in action research to identify and document systemic barriers preventing the labour market integration of IEBs in their fields of expertise.
- A database of IEB Skills, Engineering Employers and labor market information
- A Multi-stakeholder Roundtable to provide the opportunity for all relevant stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on employers and IEBs, to come together to grapple with the barriers that prevent IEBs from taking their rightful place in the engineering field, and to develop credible solutions to problem.
- A Collective Voice of IEBs to play a key role in the multi-stakeholder Roundtable through leadership development.
- Workplace Integration Tools for IEBs
